Jefferson Iron & Metal Brokerage is one of the oldest and largest scrap metal brokerage companies in the Southeast. Established in 1940 as a Birmingham-based scrap metal processing company, Jefferson Iron & Metal expanded in 1980 to include a full-service brokerage company.

Jefferson Iron & Metal operated ferrous and non-ferrous trading office in Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Tennessee, and Mississippi. Jefferson Iron & Metal’s brokerage team averages over 30 years of experience trading in excess of two hundred thousand tons per month.

Jefferson Iron & Metal’s brokerage team has distinguished itself by developing strong relationships with major consumers and processors, as well as acting as the sole supplier of all raw material requirements to numerous mills.
